  1. Symphony Presents Music of Classic Disney Movies May 12

    The Springfield Symphony’s final concert of their 77th season will feature performances of music from classic Disney movies. The family-friendly pops concert will take place on May 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

    The evening’s concert, which was produced by Disney, will feature the Springfield Symphony Orchestra performing music from big-name Disney movies while images from the films are projected on a large screen above the orchestra.

  8. Symphony Presents All-American Lineup Jan. 21

    The Springfield Symphony’s first concert of the new year will feature an All-American lineup of music and Missouri State professor of music and Springfield Symphony principal cellist, Michael Murray, as soloist.

    Springfield Symphony music director and conductor, Ron Spigelman, will lead the orchestra in performing works by four different and contrasting American composers – Aaron Copland, Howard Hanson, André Previn and Marc Mellits – at the concert on Jan. 21 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.
