Cider Days on Historic Walnut Street 2011
Enjoy one of the area’s largest fall arts and crafts festivals! The 14th Annual Cider Days on Historic Walnut Street, presented by Great Southern, is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 17-18. This fall festival features regional artists and crafters, three performance stages, a free children’s area with inflatables, and of course – real apple cider! The event draws up to 15,000 in attendance each year. Admission is $4 per person; children 10 and under are free.
Cider Days features more than 65 artists and crafters from the region, and includes jewelry, clay, painting, woodwork, glass, and photography. All arts and crafts are hand-made.
The festival also includes more than 25 different performances each day from some of the area’s most talented groups, including the Springfield Little Theatre Youth Performance Troupes and the Skinny Improv.
In addition to great crafts and performances, Cider Days features fun and free kid’s activities, including face painting, inflatables and real apple cider. The Coffee Ethic will provide hot and cold varieties of fall’s favorite drink at the festival.
