1. First Night Springfield Accepting Entries for Last Song Contest

    First Night Springfield 2013 is accepting entries for the First Night’s Last Song Contest.  First Night’s Last Song Contest is a simple social-media based contest designed to choose a headliner for the First Night Springfield Teen Venue with the following guidelines: 

    1. Enter – Email a link of your video performance to sarah@itsalldowntown.com by 5:00pm Friday, Nov.30th with the subject line, “First Night’s Last Song Contest.”  We’ll pick 5 finalists by Dec. 3rd.     
    2. Vote – Encourage people to vote for their favorite performance by liking the videos on our YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/FirstNightsLastSong from Dec. 3 - 14th. 
    3. Perform - The finalist with the most votes will perform at First Night Springfield Dec. 31, 2012 and receive a $500 cash prize!

    The finalist receiving the most votes by Midnight on Dec. 14, 2012 will win a $500 cash prize and will headline the First Night Springfield Teen Venue.  Entries must be appropriate for all-ages, and all entrants must be available to perform in person on New Year’s Eve.  For a complete list of contest guidelines, visit www.FirstNightSpringfield.org The contest winner will be announced on Dec. 17, 2012. 

    First Night is a Springfield Regional Arts Council event and is managed by the Urban Districts Alliance. The event is presented by Phoenix Home Health Care. The First Night’s Last Song contest is made possible through support from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.  

    First Night is a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event that takes place in multiple venues in Downtown Springfield.  This community-wide, alcohol-free celebration of the visual and performing arts will ring in 2013 with live music, theatre, children’s activities, fireworks and more.
