1. 32nd Annual Springfield St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celebration

    Registration is now open to participate in the 32nd Annual Springfield St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year’s parade will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17th. Parade judges will vote on the “best of” in several categories and award prizes to the top entries.

    Greene County Commissioner Roseann Bentley will preside over the parade as the 2012 Grand Marshal.

    The day’s festivities will also include the 2nd Annual Irish Pet Contest.

    St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celebration Events Schedule

    • 12:00 - Food booths & vendors open at the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Plaza on Commercial Street. Parade floats, groups and other participants begin forming a line at Benton Avenue & Commercial Street.
    • 12:30 - Irish Pet Contest takes place at Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Plaza on Commercial Street.
    • 2:00 - Parade begins with Grand Marshal
    • 4:00 - Parade disbands downtown at South Avenue and Elm St.
    • 4:30 - Celebration continues with the Awards Ceremony at Patton Alley Pub, 313 South Patton Alley
