1. Feed Your Face: Coyote’s Bloody Mary Bar

Salad bars, build-your-own sundae bars and other buffets are as common as air these days. But my fave is the Bloody Mary bar at Coyote’s Adobe Café & Bar.

Every Saturday and Sunday from 9am ‘til 2pm, you can get brunch with a pint-sized Bloody Mary for an extraordinary price.

First, choose your vodka: Absolut Peppar Vodka is $3.50, Effen Cucumber Vodka is $5, and Bakon Vodka (yes, that’s bacon-flavored vodka!) is $6. You’ll be brought a pint glass with a generous pour of vodka and ice, and you’re ready to go! (Also, if it’s not your thing, you can opt for a ready-to-drink Bloody Mary and the bartender will make it for you.)

Next you’ve got juices. Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix, tomato juice, V-8, or Clamato if you’re really brave!

Then you’ve got your liquid flavors: all the hot sauces you can imagine, Worcestershire, steak sauces, lime juice, olive juice, and more. Next add your spices and garnishes: celery salt, fresh-ground pepper, horseradish, olives, artichoke hearts, pickles, asparagus, celery, and citrus fruits.

My recommendation: Absolut Peppar, Zing Zang, a splash of olive juice, and dash of celery salt, and throw in some limes and celery, and you’ve got a perfect appetizer to accompany your breakfast and football game. Go Chiefs!
