1. 19th Annual Garage Sale & Marketplace Jan. 28-29 at E*Plex

    Published: January 5, 2012

The Half Price Ozarks 19th Annual Greater Springfield Garage Sale & Marketplace returns to the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E*Plex with more than 400 booths bursting with bargains Jan. 28-29.

With more than 400 booths, it will be like a neighborhood garage sale on steroids.

The sale is a great place to find antiques and collectibles, jewelry, new and used clothing, arts and crafts, furniture and more. There is something here for everyone. Event organizers say it is impossible to catalog the thousands of items available for sale.

Returning this year, find out what your old items are worth. Local appraisers and buyers will be on hand to help you determine the value of your treasures. Bring in your items or detailed pictures to be viewed. Examples would be: coins, military, antiques, glassware, retro or vintage items and more. On site at the fairgrounds will be Mike’s Unique Collectables and Antique Mall to give free appraisals.

Event organizers expect the sale to sell out and anticipate record crowds this year.

“Not only will people be able to find bargains this weekend, but they’ll be able to have their personal items appraised free of charge to them,” said president Mike Moore.

Advance discount tickets are available at all Price Cutter Supermarket locations for $2.50. The price of tickets the day of the garage sale is $3.50 for a single day ticket and $5 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and younger are free.

    Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Jan. 28 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 29.

New this year, the event has Half Price Ozarks as the name and title sponsor of the event. Garage sale attendees will receive a $10 coupon to use with www.halfpriceozarks.com.
