The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) presents an exhibition featuring the works of three visual art member organizations: Visual Artist Alliance of Springfield, Studio 55 and Springfield Plein Air. Paint Springfield x3 will be at The Creamery Arts Center through Dec. 27.
These three groups of artists come together each year for one exhibition at The Creamery. Studio 55 is an association of artists and patrons dedicated to making opportunities for adults over the age of 55. The Visual Artist Alliance of Springfield began in 1988 as a group of artists dedicated to advancing visual art in the Springfield area. Springfield Plein Air is an outdoor painting group of local artists at all levels and talents.
With this exhibit, SRAC wants to recognize the talents of these artists by offering this joint show featuring various painting styles. “This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the network of local artists,” said Stephanie Cramer, Director of Programs and Exhibitions, “and to showcase the work created within each distinct affiliation.”
The Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, provides support for Paint Springfield x3.

The SRAC, incorporated in 1978, connects people and the arts. It supports some of the most prominent visual, performing, literary and film/media arts organizations and artists within 27 counties, the largest outreach of any in the state of Missouri. The current mission of the SRAC is to transform lives and enrich our Community through the Arts. The SRAC also manages The Creamery Arts Center, which houses the offices of the SRAC, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Ballet, Springfield Regional Opera, Springfield Community Center and Care to Learn, as well as a board room, classrooms, arts library, exhibition hall, film editing bays, shared costume and set design shops managed by the Springfield Little Theatre and instrument storage.
